Folkdrop.app is an early-stage consumer app for placing one daily cultural signal and receiving a generated card. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
Acceptable use
- Do not submit illegal, abusive, hateful or harmful content.
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, security checks or the daily drop policy.
- Do not use Folkdrop to harass people or operate a public social feed.
Generated cards and statistics
Early cards may show pending statistics while the system is opening. Future scores and positioning are informational and may change as more drops are collected.
How statistics are calculated
A drop is considered related when it has the same kind and at least one matching tag. Non-link drops must also have at least two corresponding words. For link drops, having the same root domain is used instead of the two-word requirement.
A card's statistics compare eligible drops from the time its drop was placed. Most drops use a maximum 72-hour window; predictions use the window chosen when they are placed. Results can update during the applicable window and become final when it has been fully covered. The live geographic map uses the same rolling window.
Geographic results never display an individual drop's coordinates. Drops are first grouped into the smallest configured geographic areas. Areas that do not contain the minimum required number of drops are merged into progressively broader clusters until the privacy threshold is reached; underfilled results may be omitted. This reduces the risk of inferring the position of a single drop.
Accounts and anonymous use
You may place a drop anonymously using a recovery cookie. Creating or using an account is recommended if you want to keep access across devices.

Folkdrop is in development. Features, limits and scoring methods may change during the product evolution.
